1.About the Manual 1.1 The outline of the
Manual This passage involves detailedly how the
business mailbox end users, those who emailbox users, use and manage
their own mail accounts as well as the included personal information
by common tools of mail sending and receiving. This page provides
detailed instruction for business mailbox end users (email box
users) how to use and manage their own mail account and the related
personal information via usual email tools of receiving and sending
1.2 The Target readers
This manual is applicable for business mail system
end users or people who are responsible for mail system training.
Suppose our users have already grasped the knowledge as follows:
The manual is prepared for end users of business mail system or
the related person who gives direction to end users. Our end users
are supposed to being qualified the following knowledge:
☉Operation of Windows95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP and some other
systems.
☉Operation of common user management tool Microsoft Outlook
Express, Netscape Messenger, or Foxmail.
☉Operation of common browse tool Microsoft Internet

First, startup Outlook Express and choose "
Tools " in the main menu, then
click on "Accounts... " and open
" Internet accounts "; |

set completely. After confirming the PC is
connected to the internet, you can click " Send

"Leave a copy of messages on
server ", then the option of setting
detail rules will be changed from Forbidden (Grey)

in the Web mailbox for a long time, the mailbox
will be full not to receive the mails from other
mailboxes. |

connection (SSL)" below "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" and

below "Incoming mail(POP3)". Confirm that the smtp
port is 465, and the POP3 port is 1995.

window and return to Internet accounts,
then click on " close ", the account will be set
completely. After confirming the PC is connected
to the internet, you can click " Send and

3.Usage of Webmail
Business mail provides quite powerful
webmail features. Through webmail, as same as OE, the users are able
to do mail sending, receiving, storage, managing and searching.
Meanwhile, you can create an address book, where you can import and
export the contacts, filter, classify, and compose email easily. The
following part will go deep into the webmail usage.Business mailbox
provides advantageous webmail function. By using of webmail, as well
as OE, users could receive and send email; save, manage and search
email, and also create an address book, which is applicable to
import and export contacts; filter, classify and write email easily.
The detailed operation instruction is as below: 3.1 login The
following part will take Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 as an example
to introduce the interface; Regarding other internet explores which
are required the exact same steps to login in, so that repeated
description is omitted. As the usage of other internet explorers is
of no differences, no need to further introduce any
more. Open IE by clicking on
"start"--"program"—"Internet Explorer" or the IE theme logo on the
desktop. Enter the server web address www.263xmail.com in the
address bar: (if there is any change on the web address, please
contact your company's system administrator or ask for it from the
facilitator), after pressing " enter", the following windows appear:
Click "English Version" to enter the English
Version as bellow:
According to the instructions on the website, enter
"login name" and "password", then
click on "login" button to run up to the mail
interface;
The main interface is divided into two parts, the blue section on
the left is the function area, and the list displays all the
available function items to users; the right part displays the
windows of related function items. In function area:
Clicking on "check mail", order mail server to
display all the received mails
Clicking on "send", access to the "creating new
mail";
Clicking on "address book", edit and modify the
address book;
"Folders" represents the place of mails by
different classification, among which the "inbox" means the received
mails, "outbox" indicates the sent mails, "recycle bin" collects the
useless mails which have been deleted; "draft" retains your saved
mail drafts;
Clicking on "setting", presents some function
settings, including password changing, personal information
modifying, filter viewer setting, signature setting, mail forward
setting, mail automatically reply setting, mail displaying format
setting, and etc.. Click on "logout" to log off
mailbox, and back to the login interface.
3.2 Mail Checking
Clicking
on "inbox" in feature listed area, you will see the
following windows:
Clicking on the subject of a
certain mail, you will see the following windows :
It will be viewed that the
detailed information about the mail, the text, as well as the
attached files.Please be noted that, there are two links at the top
of the text area, called " add to address book" and
" rejection", one is to add the sender's address to
the address book, and the other is add to the rejection list.
There is another function bar on both up and down sides of the
text area, which can be used to do the reply, reply all, forward,
delete, delete entirely, save and some other operations.
3.3 Mail Composing
In the webmail's main interface, click on
"Compose" in feature area, and you run up to
following windows:
According to the instruction in the interface, you can input the
recipient's address, if more then one, divide them with comma, or
click on address book link, left to the recipient input pane , to
run up to address book window, and select recipient. If you need to
paste the attachment, click on "Add attachment" or "Add huge file"
When you finish the mail text, click on "send now" to send the mail.
Business mailbox has the feature for sending mail at the fixed time;
you can order different time for delivering according to your needs.
3.4 Address Book
In the mailbox web page, click on
"addr list", and then run up to the address book
interface:
Click on "Create"
to add new record.
Add personal address book data
according to the instruction in the interface,, such as
"name", "email address", then
click on "ok" at the bottom of the page to add the
address successfully as follows:
Repeat those procedures; you can
create your personal address book; The
steps of creating group address book is the same procedures, that is
run up to this interface, click on " Team" to run up to the group
address book edit interface, click on " create " on
the top bar, following interfaces appeared:
Input the name into "group name", for
example "sales", and explanation into
"explanation bar", like "sales
department".More than one address can be inputted in the
"email address" at one time, but separated by ",",
click on "Confirm" to successfully create a group
address book of "sales". Steps are displayed in
following pictures:
3.5 Mail Settings
Click on "mail
settings" on the left pane of mail interface; run up to the
mail setting options:
The context about mail
configuration is displayed on the right area, including nine
settings: "multi style setting", "automatic
reply", "automatic forward",
"parameter setting", "Change
password", "pop mail", "signature
setting","Personal Info" and
"Anti-spam
Setting".
"Signature bar setting": set or modify the
signature which you used in the sending email :
"Pop mail checking setting": check or reset you pop
mail account; including pop server name, login name, and login
password
For example: input "pop.net263.com" in the
server name bar Enter the real login name and password,, choose
"save mail in pop server", then click "come
into force or not"; in this way, business emailbox can
receive letters from other mails (as sina, 163), this feature can be
realized in the user software, please refer to outlook setting .
"Password
changing": reset your mail password;
"Automatically reply": set whether automatically
reply, or reset the text of autoreply;
"Parameter setting": set or modify some parameters
displayed in sending mails, including the parameter of the style and
the mail amount.
"Automatically forward": set mail forward, for
example, enter test555@test.com into the
"forward to dominated mailbox" bar, you can forward
the mail that has been previously sent to test@test.com to test555@test.com.
Select "multi style settings" in "mail
setting", then you can configure the mail with webmail
color style. The default style of 263 Gmail webmail is blue
speedboat, and other interface models with different color are also
provided, such as blue windstorm, red temptation, red windstorm,
grey track, metal windstorm. The mail users can choose their
preferred model colors, and save them as defaulted model as
following pictures: |

3.6 Anti-Spam
In the mail setting interface, click on
"Anti-spam setting", and you will see following pages:
On
the interface we can see three options in the setting. Default setting is
"intermedia-level", filtering classified mails and
rejection as optional setting. You can set filter by entering into filter
classified mail setting interface.
Running up to rejection setting, in the rejected sender list, you can
enter the email addresses, from which you refuse to receive the mail,
several email addresses can de separated by comma; when it finished, click
on "ok", you will see following interfaces:
Likewise, you can refresh or modify the setting policy on junk mails at
any time by clicking on "refresh"
3.7 Anti-spam level setting
Select anti-spam level setting to run up to
fighter lever setting interface:
On the interface we can see that, the
right half of the page is divided into two parts, one above is the
introduction about the spam fighter lever setting; the other below is the
spam fighter lever setting and explanation on "unknown mail
folder", you can set the spam fighter lever setting according to
your needs: "Low", "Inter-media", "High";
"Low": Junk mails will be generally filtered by
system. And the filtered mail will be saved in unknown mail folder.
"Inter-media": Junk mails will be relatively strictly
filtered by system. And the filtered mail will be saved in unknown mail
folder.
"High": Junk mail will be very strictly filtered by
system. Unless the mails are from the addresses in the address book, they
can not be saved to the inbox but filtered and saved to unknown mail
folder. (In order to provide an easy accessing, 263 mail webside interface
supplies address book import and export features which is in accordance
with address book of outlook express and some other common mail user
softwares)
"Unknown folder": the space provided by 263 for the
clients to storage the filtered unknown mail. The capacity of unknown mail
folder is separated from the mailbox capacity, which do not occupy the
mailbox's self capacity,. The capacity is normally as large as 60% of the
mailbox capacityt. The unknown mail will be automatically deleted every 7
days or when the "unknown mail folder" is full. You are also transferring
the reasonable mails in "unknown mail folder" to those appointed mail
folders.
(Default level setting: "Inter-media")
3.8 Mail Searching
On the left of webmail interface, highlight
"Searching Mails", and run up to the mails searching
interface :
Enter the key words for searching, such as "hello"; highlight the
searching type, as "search from the whole mail";
highlight the searching folder, like "inbox"; highlight "include all the
subfolder"; after clicking on "Go Search!", the result
will appear:

3.9 Huge Mail
Huge mail service is an value-added service of 263
Gmails. The administrator allocate huge mail accounts to customers, and
263 mail system supply 1G temporary storage space for
those mail accounts which open huge mail service, so the customs can
upload files and links to any other mail accounts
Huge mail has the features of "huge mail
sending" and "huge mail manager". "Huge
mail sending" can send huge mail saved in 263 mail system to
other mail accounts in form of links, and huge mail can be added through
clicking on mail creating on the left pane of webmail, steps are displayed
in following pictures:
Enter
recipient's address and subject the same as usual, the large files can be
highlighted in the files listing of " uploaded files
selecting", if the files are not in the list, you can click on
"add huge attachment" button to select the local file,
then click on "ok" to upload the file to the large space
of this mail system account. The "huge mail manager" can also be used to
manage these huge mails. Highlight the file, and click on the
"mail creating" on the upper pane to send the mail with
the link of selected large file to the inbox.
The "huge mail manager"
are used in managing huge files which need sending, through that files can
be uploaded, downloaded, deleted, sent as following pictures, the list
displays the present uploaded files which are saved to the system as well
as the size of the file, the upload date, and the upload status(the
unfinished file can be continued), time remained, space occupied.
Clicking on "upload" on
the toolbar, prompt for entering uploaded files/ browse appears at the
bottom of the page; you can enter the local file name or browse the files
in the computer, and then click on "upload" to upload the files to the
huge space of this account in the system. The upload process supports
Breakpoint Resume Transmission. The very big capacity which amounts to
1G max does not occupy the capacity of mail, and the files uploaded can
be kept for seven days.
Click on check box on the left pane of files
list to select one or several files, and then run up directly to the
"huge mail sending" interface through clicking
"sending" button in the toolbar, and list the highlighted
files as an attachment to huge mail. Click on "delete" to
delete the highlighted files.
